Our host greets you, checks you in and seats you at a numbered table. You then have about ten five-minute dates with the other guests in your age group, with a short break in the middle to get a drink. Afterwards you log in and tick the people you’d like to see again. When two people choose each other it’s a mutual match — and only then do we share contact details.

Prices vary by event and are always shown on the event page before you sign up, so there are no surprises at checkout. A gift certificate covers admission to one event.

Every night is grouped by age range so you’re meeting people at a similar stage of life. The ages in an event title — for example “Singles 20s & 30s” or “40s & 50s” — are the range for that night. As long as you fall within the range named in the title, you’re welcome to sign up.

There’s no strict dress code at most events. Dress one notch up from a normal night out — think a nice dinner in Hyde Park rather than an afternoon at the beach. Tampa is warm most of the year, so breathable fabrics help, and a light layer is worth carrying for the air conditioning. If a special event has a dress code, it’s stated in the event description.

We host across the bay: Downtown and Channelside near the Riverwalk, Ybor City, Hyde Park and SoHo, Westshore and South Tampa, and across the bridges in St. Petersburg and Clearwater — with New Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Brandon and Riverview as the calendar grows. Please arrive about 15 minutes before the start time so our host can check you in and seat you. If you arrive late we can only add you if it doesn’t disrupt the rotation, and you may get fewer dates.

After the event, log in to your account and tick the people you’d like to see again. When two people choose each other, each of you can see the other’s contact details. If it isn’t mutual, nothing is shared — and nobody finds out who picked whom.

We cap sign-ups on each side. When one side fills first, the other goes on a waiting list and we release seats as the numbers even out, so everyone gets a full round of dates.

Tell us through the contact form as early as you can so we can offer your seat to someone on the waiting list. Requests seven or more days before the event qualify for a refund of the ticket price. Less than seven days out, but before the event date, we credit the ticket toward another Speed Date Tampa event. On the day of the event or afterwards, the ticket is forfeited. No. Speed Date Tampa is an events company, not a dating app. There are no public profiles and no messaging between members. You sign up for a night, meet people in person or on Zoom, and pick your matches afterwards.

Sign up exactly as you would for an in-person night. We email you the Zoom details and passcode after you register. Our host moves everyone between rooms for the five-minute dates, and afterwards you log in and pick your matches the same way.

Our events are for singles. Divorced and separated people who consider themselves single and are looking for love or friendship are welcome.

Yes. Your registration and attendance are confidential. We never sell your information, and contact details are only shared between two people who picked each other. Read our privacy policy for the details.
