Speed Date Tampa has hosted in-person speed dating nights across Tampa Bay since 2008, and the format has been refined over hundreds of events: a host who greets you at the door, a numbered table with your name on it, and a room full of people who came out for exactly the reason you did.
Every night is grouped by age range, so the person across the table is at a similar point in life. You get about ten dates of five minutes each, with a short break in the middle to get a drink. Afterwards you log in, tick the people you would like to see again, and we share contact details only where the interest is mutual. Nobody ever finds out they were a one-way pick.
Where we host
We cover the whole bay. That means Downtown and Channelside along the Riverwalk, Ybor City, Hyde Park and SoHo, Westshore and South Tampa — and across the Howard Frankland in St. Petersburg, up I-275 towards New Tampa and Wesley Chapel, and out towards Brandon and Riverview. Every event page shows the exact address before you book, and some nights run online on Zoom.
How we keep the room balanced
Sign-ups are capped on each side, so a night never runs with far more men than women or the other way round. When one side fills first, the other joins a waiting list and we release seats as the numbers even out. On the night, our host runs the rotation, so you never have to work out who to talk to next.
