We’re looking for warm, organised people to host, plan and promote speed dating nights across Tampa Bay — from the Riverwalk and Ybor to Westshore, St. Petersburg and Clearwater.
A social role with a very real result.
Speed Date Tampa has hosted in-person speed dating nights across Tampa Bay since 2008. Behind every good night is a host who greets each guest by name, seats them at their table, and keeps about ten five-minute dates rotating on time. If you like people, stay calm in a busy room, and take pride in a well-run event, we’d like to hear from you.
What our hosts & coordinators do
No two nights are identical, but the heart of the role is making guests comfortable and keeping the evening on schedule. Depending on the role, that can include:
- Hosting speed dating nights in person, and on Zoom for our online events
- Finding and building relationships with bars, lounges and restaurants around Tampa Bay
- Running check-in, seating and the rotation on the night
- Corresponding warmly with guests before and after events
- Helping promote nights from Downtown and Hyde Park to Brandon, Wesley Chapel and St. Pete
Who we’re looking for
Friendly, punctual and confident in a crowd. Experience in events, hospitality or promotion helps, but reliability and a good manner matter most. Evening and weekend availability is essential — that is when our nights happen — and being able to get around the bay, bridges included, is a real plus. An interview with Speed Date Tampa ownership and a background check are part of the process, because every guest should feel safe and looked after.
